The Wales Coast Path was created to connect people with our spectacular coastline - but it was also created to support the communities and businesses along the way.

Every year, thousands of walkers explore the 870 miles of the Wales Coast Path, alongside Wales’ three National Trails: Offa’s Dyke Path, Glyndŵr’s Way and the Pembrokeshire Coast Path.

That’s over 1,000 miles of opportunity.

From weekend adventurers and family day-trippers to long-distance walkers planning multi-day stays, these visitors are actively looking for places to eat, stay, shop and explore. And many businesses are closer to the Path than they realise.

Are walkers finding you?

  • When visitors plan their routes, they’re searching for:
  • Campsites and accommodation near the trail
  • Cafés and pubs for well-earned rest stops
  • Dog-friendly businesses
  • Accessible facilities
  • Local attractions and experiences

If your business is located on or near the Wales Coast Path or a National Trail, highlighting that connection could help put you firmly on their map.

But we know that not every business is aware of the free resources and support available to help them do exactly that.

That’s why we’re inviting local businesses to join our Wales Coast Path and National Trails business database. Register your business today

Supporting coastal and rural communities

A key aim of the Wales Coast Path and the National Trails has always been to help stimulate local economies, particularly in rural coastal areas.

Walkers don’t just pass through - they contribute to local communities throughout the year. By strengthening the link between the trails and nearby businesses, we can help extend stays, encourage repeat visits and spread economic benefit along each trail.

This database is a simple way to stay connected and make sure your business doesn’t miss out.
