Along the way

Joining the path at Limeslade, you might catch a glimpse of seals basking on the rocks close to the water’s edge.

A little further along the path you’ll discover the Leaping Fish Sculpture, part of a coastal art trail by group Sculpture Art and Education by the Sea. Carved from local reclaimed oak, the sculpture depicts an ever-flowing circle of water with a leaping mackerel. Take a peek through the viewfinder at the sculpture’s centre to observe the stunning coastal landscape, before continuing your journey.

The path then passes Langland Bay with its distinctive line of Victorian green and white beach huts – the perfect place to stop for some mid-walk refreshments while you watch the local surfers ride the waves.

From Langland the Coast Path winds around the rugged cliffs on its way to Caswell Bay. Here you’ll find another sculpture featuring fish and surfboards on either side of a bench. The two parts are hand carved from reclaimed oak and decorated with metal panels and casts of shells found on the local beaches.

Need to know

• There are toilets, cafés and public toilets at both ends of the walk. You’ll also find a café at Langland Bay, roughly in the middle of your journey.
• Local bus services link Swansea with both Limeslade and Caswell Bay.
