Cambrian Coast by foot and rail
Several stretches of the Wales Coast Path are well served by the railway network – including the 109 miles of the Path which runs close to the Cambrian Coast line between Pwllheli and Aberystwyth.
Accessing the Wales Coast Path by bus is, in many places, surprisingly easy. This gives many options for walking one way and catching a bus the other
In general, we recommend travelling out by bus and walking back, as this removes any worries about a long wait at the end of your walk.
On the other hand, walking out and returning by bus means that you do not have to reach a pre-defined point and you can vary the length of your walk depending on how you feel on the day.
The maps in the resources section below show the bus routes which connect coastal locations.
