Several sections of the Wales Coast Path are designated sections of the National Cycle Network - which offers a great opportunity to explore the Path in a way which is both good for your health and environmentally friendly. These routes are mostly flat, traffic free and on a hard surface and are perfect for individuals, groups and families. There are plenty of opportunities to get off your bike, visit attractions and engage in seaside activities and, because they pass through major towns and seaside resorts, including Prestatyn, Rhyl, Colwyn Bay, Llandudno, Caernarfon, Llanelli and Swansea, refreshments are never far away. Follow the links below to find out more information about these 'on' path cycling sections.
Please note that, away from these sections, the majority of the Wales Coast Path is on Public Footpaths and other routes upon which to cycle is to trespass unless specific permission has been granted by the landowner. However, there are still many routes in the coastal areas which can be enjoyed by cyclists as well as dedicated mountain bike trails which can be accessed nearby. To find out more, follow the link to nearby routes.
